Levenger appoints two senior marketing
executives to direct multi-channel growth

DELRAY BEACH, FLA · February 25, 2008–Levenger has appointed Bob Warren its Senior Vice President of Marketing and Mario Cordon its Vice President of Direct Marketing, as part of the company’s focus on integrating and growing its business in all channels—catalog, web, retail and business-to-business.

"Our goal is to make many more consumers aware that there is a company devoted to making high-quality products and providing peerless customer service," said Ed Howell, the president of Levenger. "Bob Warren and Mario Cordon possess both the credentials and the commitment to help us expand our reach in all channels."

A seasoned brand and direct-marketing executive, Warren’s career includes 13 years with Gillette Stationery Products in both the U.S. and Canada, and eight years with New England Business Service Inc., a $700 million public company serving 3 million customers. There he rose to President of NEBS Direct Marketing. His duties included the direction of both domestic and international divisions. He was also vice president for Viking Brand Management with Office Depot. Warren holds an M.B.A. from Harvard and a B.A. in Economics from Brown University.

Mario Cordon comes to Levenger following a four-year tenure at Office Depot, where he served in positions in both the company’s direct-market and retail divisions. Before that he served as a consultant with Bain & Company, where he was instrumental in mapping successful marketing, acquisition and retail strategies for various clients. He has also worked in management positions for Abbott Laboratories in Latin America, and for Rohm and Haas in Europe and the United States. Cordon earned his M.B.A. from Duke University and his bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University.

A privately held organization, Levenger was the first company in America to sell products specifically with readers in mind. Steve and Lori Leveen, a husband-and-wife team, founded Levenger in 1987.

The company has since evolved into a designer of high-end products geared toward reading, writing and professional pursuits. Its proprietary product line encompasses award-winning note-taking systems, leather goods, writing instruments and products co-branded with leading cultural institutions. Levenger also has its own book publishing arm, Levenger Press, which specializes in collector editions.

Its sales channels include a direct-to-consumer catalog of "Tools for Serious Readers"; its e-commerce sites of Levenger.com and Levengerpress.com; and stores in Boston, Chicago, Boca Raton and the Washington, D.C., area. Its business-to-business arm, Professional & Corporate Sales, reaches customers through both web and catalog presentations.

Levenger is headquartered in Delray Beach, Fla. Its customer service and fulfillment centers are in Memphis.
