Meet Steve & Lori

Steve and Lori Leveen co-founded Levenger in 1987. "Levenger" is a marriage of the couple's last names—
Leveen (Steve) + Granger (Lori's maiden name).

Steve Leveen

Steve holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego (his hometown), and master's and doctoral degrees in sociology from Cornell. Steve sits on the boards of both the National Book Foundation and the Miami/Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the World Presidents' Organization (WPO), where he serves as education vice chair of the WPO Southern Region. He is a member of WPO's resource bureau for CNBC.

Steve is also a founder of Loop the Lake for Literacy, an annual bike-a-thon fundraiser for the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County (Levenger is headquartered in this Florida county). This is one of several ways that Levenger supports literacy initiatives on the regional, national and international levels.

Steve is the author of The Little Guide to Your Well-Read Life (2005) and the forthcoming Holding Dear: The Value of the Real (2013), and writes blogs on the well-read life for Levenger.

We offer just such products — objects pleasing to the touch, rewarding in their function, and made to last for generations. There's lots more to Levenger, so we invite you to browse these pages and watch some of our videos. Thanks for visiting. We hope you'll come back often.
