AirLight iPhone Sleeve
Not very practical for intended use
Like almost all Levenger products, the quality of workmanship and method of packaging was excellent. Stitching was even, no loose threads, the snap closure felt very secure but not too difficult to open. Any version of iphone and most if not all androids would fit, and the nylon interior makes it easy to insert and remove, even inside a protective (and more practical) rubberized case for example. The case was shipped inside of a nice Levenger nylon drawstring bag, then packaged in a simple clear plastic bag. No extra bulky boxing for shipment, no packaging designed so that only a thief can open it.
But not so great features:
1) THE IPHONE POCKET: You cannot charge using a regular Apple style charger, or use any of the phone features while the case is fastened; unsnapped the phone will easily slip out. You might be able to charge a newer iPhone/iPod with the lightning charger. Unless you have no concerns about it being dropped, dampened or otherwise damaged while in use, you will still need another case.
2) THE CASE: It is wider than necessary for any iPhone, and the slate gray is neither that attractive nor that easy to spot if it winds up under the seat or in the bottom of a brief case. The back portion of the tab closure is close to the top of the case, so you could only hook this to a belt or bag with the front of the case (where the snap is)facing inward, thus making it awkward to unsnap and remove when you need to use the phone. It has no strap or handle for carrying the case by itself.
3) THE OUTSIDE POCKET: advertised for a business card. However the cards do not fit all the way inside, leaving the top edge subject to soiling/crumpling - not the condition you want to hand out business cards. It is wide enough to fit using the Levenger business card note holders, but not workable if you are at a trade event for example and want to be able to "effortlessly" get your business card in the hand of (and visible to) a potential customer. A regular cardstock business card slides in and out much easier than I expected, but for the same reason, I would feel insecure about using it for a driver license or credit card, although I did turn it upside down and shake pretty vigorously, and it did not slide out on its own. If you suffer from a serious case of OCD, the snap closure was not perfectly centered - not that noticeable, but at the listed retail price for an item like this made of felt, I would have expected that type of detail to be right.
I do plan to keep the item, purchased at the closeout discount. 3x5 cards fit perfectly in the larger pocket, and business card sized "ticklers" or Bible verses which I often carry fit into the exterior stash pocket. But doubt I will use for the iPhone or business cards.
