Best frequent traveler wallet ever
This wallet solved my biggest problem with switching between travel (weekly 2-3 overnights for work) and home (grocery shopping, hardware store shopping, etc.). I would like an eighth of an inch longer inside, and twice as thick to hold more receipts. Otherwise, this is the perfect wallet for my needs. I have had one since it was introduced and it shows no signs of wear. If it ever wears out, I'll buy another.

Best Purchase ever
I have used this wallet for many years and I actually have two. (In different colors) I could not be organized without it. There is plenty of space not only for my passport, cards, and checkbook, but the two outside pockets hold a pad and all my receipts. The zipper assures me that nothing will be lost.
Disappointed that there are no longer color choices. For all who likes organization ...a MUST!

An old friend
I just ordered my second road scholar. The first is an old friend that finally gave up the ghost after what must be 8+ years of daily use. It has been from York, UK to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa and all over the US. It has been backpacking and to board meetings. One of the best purchases I have ever made! And below for how i use this product--all of the above should be an option :)

Excellent for frequent travelers
I carry two passports and a variety of currency and this case has been a lifesaver for those reasons alone. The card slots are critical for carrying frequent flyer program hard cards, the snap-in wallet fits in a jacket pocket, and I can carry and sort multiple boarding passes. I've purchased this for many people on special occasions and will continue to do so.

perfect and classy gift item
ever since my first purchase of levenger products over 5 years ago, everytime i am in need of a unique gift for someone special, the first place i go to is levenger.com.
the unique product line and ability to initialize the items is ideal. the packaging is lovely and doesnt even require additional wrapping. to date i have purchased this case for myself and a few other people. i plan to purchase several more for graduation and special occasion gifts. this item is my first "go to" gift for any travlers i know.

The problem with the Road Scholar is size. It will not fit in a suit/jacket pocket. Having it stored in your bag defeats the entire purpose.

I searched for months to find the right "wallet" for my travels. This is it!! Carries everything I need (passport, cash, credit cards, boarding pass, etc.) and I still have a small wallet to fit into an evening bag without the hassle of changing things around! I'm buying a second for my daughter.

Best purchase ever
Great quality and value. This is the second time I have purchase the Road Scholar. It protects all my important papers with the zipper side. The detachable wallet is very convenient. I only wish the change compartment was a little larger. Bought one for a friend. She loves it.

Definitely the Best I've Ever Owned
As with every other Levenger item I own, I use this daily. Not only is this wallet perfect for travel, but it is the only way I have found to keep track of all the cards, receipts, and even letters which used to enjoy free reign of my purse. Plus, the wallet is actually small enough to fit into a woman's pocket--this is just right in every way, and has held up with excellence so far... three countries and counting!

Road Scholar falls short
I received a Road Scholar about a year ago and initially I was fairly pleased with it. In particular, I liked the quality of the leather - it was a stylish upgrade from my existing passport wallet.
Having used it regularly for about a year now, however, I'm much less satisfied with it for the following reasons: (1) The zipper is too stiff and hard to zip/unzip - consequently, the leather tab attached to the zipper finally ripped off and now the holder is very hard to open or shut. (2) The slots for holding boarding passes don't work well for passes that you print out at home. (3) The wallet isn't wide enough or long enough to accommodate most customs forms. (4) The passport slips out too easily from the inside pocket. (5) The change purse is too small. A large, long zippered compartment inside would have been more useful. (6) It's heavy.
