Does the job
Elegant and supple, I travel with ease,
Papers and pens, and leather to please.
Necessities intact, protected,
Stylish, growing more graceful with age--my folio--and me.

Love it
It is beautiful, timeless and simple. If I wanted one with pen holders ,b. card holders I could buy those anywhere. As a Prop Master in the film business I can put a script in there without it fighting and getting trashed by unnecessary stuff. I wish there was a smaller version as I would buy those as well.

Not impressed
I was really looking forward to this product. I bought several as gifts for my Executive Team. However, for the price the leather is not as nice as I thought it should be. The monogramming is stamped into the leather and barely visible. There are two pen holders but I’m not sure they will be very functional. Also, for the price I would have thought there would have at least been pockets for business cards, disks or flash drives. Quality of product and functionality is ok but definitely seems overpriced.

Fantastic
Based on the reviews and the quality expected from Levenger I had no doubt when I ordered the Briefolio that it was going to be of the highest quality. I was not disappointed. It looks and feels great and love the pockets inside with the cloth dividers. Others have commented about the Leather Portfolio not holding up if there is not an equivalent 8x11 loose-leaf. I usually have at least one item of similar size.
My biggest complaint, it makes me want to buy the briefcases.

Great product, but some notes
Not sure why others had issues with quality; mine is very well made. It's lined with black pigskin, has two pen loops (not sure how usable they are, though), and a side interior zip pocket. Other than that, just a leather envelop, but a really nice one and perfect for when you don't need a briefcase. I ordered another item in the same line, and even though both are listed as "tobacco leather", this one is noticeably darker and has the appearance and feel of oiled leather. (It's certainly not glossy or polished as the picture on the website may suggest.) I get it that it may not be large enough for legal size documents, but, frankly, were this any bigger, it would just flop around without enough inside it because there is no structure to it (as intended). It's also fairly heavy, which is a plus and a minus. Overall, though, the nicest combination of features and quality for this type of briefcase that I've found. If I could change anything, it would be to add one built-in internal divider.

Not what I expected...
I was really looking forward to this product.
I like the simplicity and the overall function works well for me. It holds a folio, some files, and has a pocket for my small digital camera, small voice recorder and a Mio Flip camera. I just discovered it has two pen holders sewn into the side.
The is made very well, however, I agree with the other reviewer...the leather is not as nice as I thought it would be for the price.
Once big flaw is the zipper gets stuck in the fold in the spine. This was very embarrassing when I was unable to open this case in an important meeting.
I like it a lot for the simplicity and size but because of the feel of the leather and the zipper flaw I have lukewarm feelings about it. If I were to do it all over again I don't think I would buy it.

A Great Piece
I like leather bags and this is one of several that I own. This is a beauty. It combines both a natural leather look and feel with a high end attitude. It's not designed to carry a lot, but what it does carry, goes in elegant style. I love it.

Great portfolio
I've had this portfolio several months now and I'm very happy with it. Several reviewers have expressed disappointment with the size but, for me at least, it is perfect. It's hard to find a quality piece this size anymore. No, it can't hold a laptop - it's not designed to.

Whoops
This is a very stylish bag, but it has no provisions for things one needs for true business uses: pockets for cards, discs, flash drives, and files. It doesn't even have a holder for a note pad. It is nothing but a fancy zip lock bag. Maybe others would find it useful, but not me.

Not quite what I was looking for.
Love Levenger products. Somewhat disappointed in the briefolio. Little too small for legal size documents. The leather isn't as nice as I thought it would be for the price. The monogramming is stamped into the leather and I would prefer a more visible monogram.
