Great Bag I love this bag, just the right size and very sturdy. Stands up when empty waiting to be filled. I use it everyday for carrying my business stuff around. May 14, 2013
Fantastic bag, interesting goodies! I love this bag. I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews on the sturdiness of the bag, but I find the structure is ideal, especially when the bag is filled with journals and other writing supplies. It is large enough for my portfolio and my moleskine writing journals, and I like the interior zipper pocket, which is an ideal place to store my pens. The outside pockets are a great spot for note cards and other misc items. The bag feels really durable and holds a lot of weight without any problems or causing any strain. Handles are good quality, well-made, and don't bite into the hand when it is being carried. It's also a good size and feel for slinging on the elbow when having to carry other bags. I also love the inclusion of the open ring for the addition of a shoulder strap if you have one to add. Great bag, definitely recommend it. As for the goodies, they were pretty interesting, but I have to say, I think the inclusion of one of the cheaper levenger pens and a refill would do more of a service than the flag dispensary and the book bungie. The book bungie isn't something I'm going to use -- the bookmark portion is too thick and can damage the spine and pages of many books, especially more delicate ones. The elastic is way too strong for collector's edition books, and I'm worried about the covers of books being damaged under the pressure. If the elastic were a bit weaker and the bookmark portion a bit thinner, I'd probably use it. The bookmarker note cards and 3x5 cards are brilliant, and will definitely make good use of those. The notepad is also a very welcome addition to the bag. All in all, a great value for the money, as the bag by itself is almost worth the price tag on its own. April 28, 2013
Bloomsburg Bookbag This bag is all that and a bag of chips. I was hesitant to buy it when I first saw it, but when I got the catalog and saw it was reduced I jumped on it. The outside pockets are great: will hold water bottle, paperback novel, phone.. The inside I carry all my smaller nonessentials and use it every day. I carry my work papers and sometimes a small lunch bag in side. The only thing that could have been helpful would have been a snap closure if carrying a wallet or something of that sort. My Everything You're my everything. Book-hugging, supply-toting Companion so rare. April 19, 2013
Bloomsbury was a bookish Group Bloomsbury was a bookish Group, You could not take them anywhere. Pale English skin, not sturdy canvas? I'll take my bag. BGs can't compare. Writers whose names I can't get a grip on May sound impressive, but no help at all. Give me instead two strong leather handles For books, pens, and paper, And the other stuff I haul. For the Bloomsbury Group, Lacking grommets and pockets And lagniappes from Levenger, I have no love lost. But my Bloomsbury book bag, which is with me near always, I love every feature, yes, even the cost. April 15, 2013
Could be better I love the idea and the price point of this bag, however it just falls short of my needs. It would greatly be improved if it had some sort of stability to it, but it is just 'slouchy'. Also, the pockets are nice, but are so open that you have to keep a close eye on them so they don't fall out. Magnetic closures would be nice. All in all, I'll keep it because I already have it, but I'm not thrilled. If i hadn't paid so much for it, it might have been worth it. March 24, 2013
Makes a great carry-on I received this bag last week, and have been toting it around since. The outside pockets are nice and big, it's sturdy and seems to take a fair amount of weight. This will be my new carry-on for traveling, and it seems perfect for that. One comment though - not all the extras with it worked for me. The notepad is nice, as well as the little pen. The stickers, pencil, magnifying cards and bookmark are soso in my opinion, but that's just me. The bag itself is great and well worth the money. March 18, 2013
A "Tool" Bag for All Reasons Following years of seeing this bag in the Levenger Catalogue, I finally ordered it when it was on sale. Now that I have actually used it, I realize how much convenience I have missed by not having had it before.. Initially, I planned to use it strictly for reading materials that I wanted to carry with me, but I have also used it as a go-shopping tote, in which I carry a small handbag, a cup of coffee, a bottle of water, a letter-size hard plastic sleeve for papers and mail, an e-book (sometimes), items I'm exchanging, small items that I buy. In the wonderful outside pockets (which are actually large enough allow my hand to retrieve the contents) I put my cell phone, glasscase, weekly planner, hand calculator, car keys and the Circa 3 x 5 card file. Its versatility is unlimited, The dimensions of the bag, the quality of the canvas, and the light weight, makes for the best balanced bag, of any sort, that I've ever used. In fact, I was so impressed that I also have purchased the leather version. March 15, 2013
