PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A roomy leather portfolio
This leather portfolio is roomy, flexible and durable enough to handle a bunch of letter files plus some notepads, and of course, your tablet computer. This streamlined portfolio fits inside a full-size briefcase, too. The rich Tusting leather mellows with age, acquiring that comfortably worn-in look, as if you’ve used it forever. Some variations may occur in coloring, as the leather is finished by hand using an age-old process.
A word about the wax in Tusting leather
One of the reasons this full-grain leather has such a rich and resilient character is because of the wax that's deeply ingrained. Occasionally this wax may leave a mark on clothing, so do take care. For Tusting leather not to have this wax, though, would be like England not to have history. It's part of what makes your Tusting bag endure.
  • Can accommodate your iPad, Kindle, Nook or other electronic reader
  • Interior zip pocket
  • 2 pen loops
  • Zipper closure
  • Full-grain leather
  • Fits inside our Tusting Briefbag (available separately)
  • 15 1/4W x 1D x 11H; 1.5 pounds

CRAFTED IN ENGLAND FOR THE AMERICAN WORK STYLE
The British have a talent for putting craftsmanship first and taking the time that attention to detail demands. We work with a small, family-owned tannery tucked away in the Buckinghamshire countryside to create these leather goods. The leather is as aromatic as a new saddle and has the same substantial feel.

Not sure why others had issues with quality; mine is very well made. It's lined with black pigskin, has two pen loops (not sure how usable they are, though), and a side interior zip pocket. Other than that, just a leather envelop, but a really nice one and perfect for when you don't need a briefcase. I ordered another item in the same line, and even though both are listed as "tobacco leather", this one is noticeably darker and has the appearance and feel of oiled leather. (It's certainly not glossy or polished as the picture on the website may suggest.) I get it that it may not be large enough for legal size documents, but, frankly, were this any bigger, it would just flop around without enough inside it because there is no structure to it (as intended). It's also fairly heavy, which is a plus and a minus. Overall, though, the nicest combination of features and quality for this type of briefcase that I've found. If I could change anything, it would be to add one built-in internal divider.

I realize that they made this to fit inside a standard briefcase, however, I am really disappointed with the size. It is not quite big enough to fit legal size folders and notepads. They sometimes get stuck in the zipper. It really needs to be an inch or two longer to really make things fit. The description of the product indicates that it will fit legal size files, but that isn't really true in my case. I'm an attorney and was really looking forward to a folio to carry to court with me, but now I'll have to look for something else.

Disappointed

Comments about Levenger Tusting Briefolio®:

For such a premium price, I'm a bit disappointed with the leather quality of the Briefolio. It is extremely well-made, from the stitching to the durability aspect of the materials. However, the leather dye and finishing leaves it with a drab look and very prone to scratching. I'll keep it due the durability and size but there are more attractive options out there. I'm surprised because I've been very pleased with Levenger's quality and style I the past.

Love it But...

Comments about Levenger Tusting Briefolio®:

The quality is amazing.. I do like the inner capacity. The "iPad Pocket" is a bit small. I ended up using it for some Levenger 3x5 envelopes and paired it with a leather portfolio I bought at Office Max and another iPad Mini 3 case. Overall it holds my iPad Mini, my receipt book, Portfolio which I keep a writing pad, comment cards, and insurance proof in. It also nicely holds a couple of client presentation folders. Overall i am happy and would say the strengths outweigh the flaws. I am in the carpet cleaning business so form and function is very important to me.

I have had my eye on this piece for some time and my only regret is I did not purchase it sooner. The Trusting company has produced a great product and I look forward to purchasing the briefcase.

The Black Briefolio

Comments about Levenger Tusting Briefolio®:

I have wanted a Briefolio for too many years. When I finally purchased it recently, I was not disappointed. The leather reminds me of an Australian saddle that's been in my family for two generations; it feels rich and strong. The Briefolio is roomy and the zipper is very smooth. The embossing is excellent and subtle, as is the black color which, when it needs to, will work well with brown (again think saddle leather). I'm certain my son will also enjoy carrying this very case one day.
Levenger service, as usual, was impeccable: There was a very small blemish on the first bag. Levenger had me return it to them at their expense. Thank you, Levenger, for always providing on line service with a smile.

Although advertised as an iPad case, I was looking for the ideal size case for my writing pads, journals, and writing tools. This case fits the bill. The Tusting leather is superb and the craftsmanship is excellent

It is beautiful, timeless and simple. If I wanted one with pen holders ,b. card holders I could buy those anywhere. As a Prop Master in the film business I can put a script in there without it fighting and getting trashed by unnecessary stuff. I wish there was a smaller version as I would buy those as well.

Not impressed

Comments about Levenger Tusting Briefolio®:

I was really looking forward to this product. I bought several as gifts for my Executive Team. However, for the price the leather is not as nice as I thought it should be. The monogramming is stamped into the leather and barely visible. There are two pen holders but I'm not sure they will be very functional. Also, for the price I would have thought there would have at least been pockets for business cards, disks or flash drives. Quality of product and functionality is ok but definitely seems overpriced.

Fantastic

Comments about Levenger Tusting Briefolio®:

Based on the reviews and the quality expected from Levenger I had no doubt when I ordered the Briefolio that it was going to be of the highest quality. I was not disappointed. It looks and feels great and love the pockets inside with the cloth dividers. Others have commented about the Leather Portfolio not holding up if there is not an equivalent 8x11 loose-leaf. I usually have at least one item of similar size.

My biggest complaint, it makes me want to buy the briefcases.

Not what I expected...

Comments about Levenger Tusting Briefolio®:

I was really looking forward to this product.
I like the simplicity and the overall function works well for me. It holds a folio, some files, and has a pocket for my small digital camera, small voice recorder and a Mio Flip camera. I just discovered it has two pen holders sewn into the side.
The is made very well, however, I agree with the other reviewer...the leather is not as nice as I thought it would be for the price.
Once big flaw is the zipper gets stuck in the fold in the spine. This was very embarrassing when I was unable to open this case in an important meeting.
I like it a lot for the simplicity and size but because of the feel of the leather and the zipper flaw I have lukewarm feelings about it. If I were to do it all over again I don't think I would buy it.
