Levenger Lap Desk
It took 20 years, but ...
I finally took the plunge and bought an original Levenger Lap Desk, like I have always wanted! I enjoy it so much I find myself coming up with reasons to carry it around the house, tucked under one arm, a good book under the other and a beverage in hand. Why did I wait so long, I deserve this!! Cozying up with my coffee and my journal open wide on the lap desk on a Sunday morning is just heaven. Works great across the arms of my overstuffed reading chair as well as my wicker deck chair ... I can't wait for warm weather to enjoy reading and writing on the porch. I tuck my phone under the elastic band for safekeeping (just in case) as I revel in the tactile, sensual paper experience. If you've been waiting, don't do that to yourself anymore. Go ahead and get your lap desk. Your soul will thank you.

Best Lap Desk
I've wanted one of these for years and in planning for being immobile after surgery, decided this was the time to get it. The wood (dark cherry) is beautiful and the surface is wide enough to sit on the arms of my recliner. It holds my laptop and plenty of room for the mouse at the side and even more room for papers. Good product!

This is an ideal Product for me. It's the Third one I have Purchased and the Second one as a Gift for Someone else.
They saw mine and wanted to know where I purchased it. I have owned and used mine for several years. I use it almost daily.
If Yu don't have one, order two. One for You and one for a Perfect Gift fro someone else.

I received a Levenger lap desk as a present from my dad 10+ years ago. It wasn't exactly the most exciting gift for a young adult. But over the years I have used it in so many ways and I'm so thankful he got it for me. I used it as a writing surface when I used to do homework laying on the ground; in college I used it to study while sitting on my bed. It rests on the arms of a chair and lifts my laptop off my lap and right now I use it as a makeshift keyboard table top for my stand up desk. I don't use the elastic suspenders and it sounds like the stand may not be included anymore, which is fine because it didn't hold the desk very well.

NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE
I've owned this lap desk for many many years and use it all the time. The old one is so incredibly light. I recently purchased one for my mother. While I like the product it must be nearly twice as heavy. While my mother likes it, she's obviously disappointed that it is not as light as mine. She's 85 so any extra weight on her lap is more noticeable. (Don't worry, I will give her mine to use.)

We now own 4 lap desks
We purchased two lapdesks quite a few years ago. They are used everyday in our family room while we "watch" tv. We wore out the surfaces (suggest you might want to use a mouse pad) over the years, and decided to retire those two to the den and buy two new ones. The new ones are as sturdy as the old ones, this is great for people who hate change.
Love Levenger products!

A Really Good Thing
Over the years, I have purchased three of these - one to give as a present and the other two for myself. The first one met an unfortunate fate through no fault of its own, and it had been such an integral part of my life that I replaced it imediately. Friends come to my house, sit in a chair and pick it up right away. It's just the perfect size and weight, and exactly functional.

still going after 15 years
I have had mine since the late 90's. I first bought it because I didn't have a desk to write out my checks every month. When I got my first laptop, this turn into my best accessorie for a laptop. It fits my lazyboy chair when I'm relaxing and playing games. It fits my Alienware M17x R4.

Needs just a few tweeks
It functions perfectly; it's the only one made to fit across the arms of a chair. I've had this one for years, but the plywood is beginning to wear out. Surface is wearing away, edges are forming little splinters that get into my skin. I wish Levenger (or someone) would make the same shape and size in something like Lucite or a hard plastic that would not wear away like plywood does. Also, it sits on its edge beside my chair, and a grip or cutout handle would make it easier to lift up. It's hard to grasp.
