Poem Reflections on ‘Skies of Blue’ Bottled Ink
As my fingers glide across the paper
My handwriting--almost calligraphy—
Enhanced by my treasured fountain pen
My friend for over 40 years
I write my composed thoughts
Which flow quickly from my brain
Through my finger tips
I feel as if I am
Uncorking the bottle
Unleashing the ‘Skies of Blue’
Of my mind
Expansive thoughts, pent up thoughts
Which reveal my emotions and states of mind
These molecules flow
Gathering speed as they race toward their destination
Like a river cascading
From its source
At the pinnacle of the mountain
Hidden in its recesses
Gathering and merging at the top
Then exploding into a waterfall
Descending from heights
Crashing against the boulders
At its base
Then continuing its journey
To its destination
The ‘skies of blue’
Provides the blanket
That overlooks the world below
And watches as the river flows
Watching as each blue molecule
Is reflected back to its source
Of water
I read my words
Written in ‘skies of blue’
My thoughts
Are reflected back to me
And I absorb them in my eye’s mind
That contains my essence
Of heart and soul
And the clarity of
‘Skies of blue’
Is evident
In my world
And
My life is enhanced

Each one made for each
Brilliant blue pen strokes
Never clogging, never skips
Flow across the page

Love the amethyst ink
I love the amethyst bottled ink for grading papers. I make lots of comments, and when done it looks festive rather than like I opened a vein over their papers.

A great all-around ink
I was first attracted to this ink for the bottle but the ink itself pleasantly surprised me. The Amethyst is a medium purple color that would work for friendly correspondence when one gets tired of the usual blue or black. This is a highly saturated ink with great flow. There is no feathering of the ink with the pen/nib combination I am using and the color dries rich and vibrant. It is a very fast drying ink with a dry time of about three seconds on average paper and about five seconds on high quality paper.
The bottle is a true inkwell and the design is both beautiful and practical. The shape makes it easy to hold and the plastic insert is great for getting a good fill, even when the ink level in the bottle begins to drop from previous fills.
I have already added two more colors to my ink collection and just wish that Levenger ventured into even more than the fourteen colors they currently offer.

I own lots of Levenger's Inks
Shiraz is a really striking color. I usually stick with True Teal and blue bahama, but I wanted a change of pace and this color certainly provided it. I admit that I love using my fountain pens at the Apple stores (most of their younger sales persons have never seen one in action), and this color certainly grabs their interest, As with all of the inks I have ordered, it provides ease when loading my fountain pens, which are the only means of writing I prefer. The only drawback is that I can't use it to sign legal documents (only blue or black are acceptable), but for notes it is wonderful.

Fantastink!
I LOVE this ink. I bought it in Raven and Empyrean. I haven't bought a black ink until now because I thought they were boring, but Raven and brought me around! All the colors are so gorgeous I can't wait to buy more. The bottles it comes in are great too. Attractive and easy to use. I am definitely a fan.

This is the best ink I've ever used. It's nice and smooth and very bold and doesn't fade. It will be my choice of inks for now on.

The Reds
I am the proud owner of six different ink colors. They all work like a dream. However I have noticed that the inks I own in the red spectrum, Claret and Shiraz, do not look much like what was pictured. Nothing huge, but a little annoying on first use.

My pen has never worked better!
I have a Cross Townsend pen (circa 1995) bought for me by my late mother. I've always liked how I write better with it, but thought it was because it slowed me down. And, it's been a little scratchy. I picked up a bottle of Levenger's ink in Teal since it coordinates with my wedding stationary and am absolutely thrilled that with it, my pen works better than it ever has! Smooth, silky, quick yet still neat writing-- I never thought that pen had such potential! Such a pleasant surprise.
The ink is a gorgeous, rich colour. The colour is even, there's no bleed, and I've had no trouble with the dry time or smudges (even when doing a pile of thank you notes).
I'm now completely hooked on Levenger's inks and will never go back to the Cross cartridges. In fact, I'm already pondering another converter and another ink colour... it'll be tough to pick just one, since you have such beautiful options.

Nice, Rich Color
It dries quickly and looks good for holiday greetings and everyday business use.
