Great looking and functional
This is a great looking stand. I leave it on my kitchen table so it is always handy. I can adjust the angle so I no longer have to deal with glare on the iPad screen. It is sturdy so I'm not worried about it collapsing under the weight of the iPad. My iPad is in a protective book like cover and it fits nicely in the wide ledge. I use it everyday and I could kick myself for not purchasing this stand sooner.

nantucket ipad lifter
Love the holder and use for my Nook. Would be nice to have a slot in the middle of the lip for the charger. I like being able to chang the angle of Nook or HP Pad. A little bulky for travel thou. This is the best stan I have found yet.

Just bought a 2nd Lifter!
I love this iPad lifter and I just bought a second one for my office. I have my iPad in a bamboo and leather case and the thickness of the bamboo is just enough to elevate the iPad to provide access to the control button at the bottom of the iPad. As long as I have the iPad in the Lifter in a horizontal position, I can charge the device as I use it. This is just fine for reading.
My only criticism at this point is that I wish the stand locked into position instead of just resting in the slot. Locking in would prevent the possibility of a collapse when repositioning the stand.
Otherwise, great product!

Great to hold my "electronic cookbook"
I keep most of my recipes in my iPad and this is the best stand that I have found. It is adjustable and I do not have to remove the iPad from the cover. It sits well both vertically and horizontally and the 3 adjustable positions are just what I need.
I can easily check my recipes as I go along and the iPad is off the counter so it is protected against accidental spills.

Nice Quality
The stand is a nice quality and provides a very sturdy surface for working on your iPad. My iPad is also in a protective case and it fit nicely in the stand both vertically or horizontally. Just one side note - while this item is packaged very well for shipping - it is not the signature green gift box so you may want to repackage if giving as a gift.

Great Purchase!
This stand does everything I wanted but I was still afraid of the wood as it dried out.
I HAVE THE ANSWER:
Put "BUTCHER BLOCK CONDITIONER", available from Amazon, all over the wood (heat it first) and the combination of Wood Emollients and the Wax really makes a difference. I feel that this solution is the one.

Best design for e-readers
This product is perfect for my Kindle DX. I love the bamboo and the adjustable easle gives flexibility. The price is very reasonable for such great design!

Highly functional; excellent value
This stand is very suitable for use on a table, or in a kitchen--great for viewing recipes and for answering email (a bluetooth keyboard helps a lot with this). Accommodates both vertical and horizontal orientation, although for the latter the weight of the iPad can trip the volume control. In vertical mode, the front lip "hides" the master button. A simple remedy would be separating the lip into right and left sections with a 1-inch gap. The magnetic latch is good for storage. The unit is a bit bulky for travel.

Reading Made Easy
I was having trouble with glare from overhead lighting when reading my Nook.The Nantucket IPad Lifter has solved this problem beautifully. I can prop my Nook up while I eat breakfast and read to my heart;s content!

Love this item
No more looking for something in lunch room or at home to prop up my iPad to read. Love it! Can't wait to use on my next flying trip. Three different level settings and folds flat. Packs with ease in my iPad bag.
