Livingstone Desk Chair WNeck Support 4 5 2 2
Great Chair I purchased this chair 2 years ago for my office and I love it! I am of average size, and what I realy like about the chair is that the adjustment are made without having to turn or push knobs, it is very intuitive. The advise I can add is that it is easy to skuff the arm rest if it is not lowered and can easily rub against the desk edge. The quality of the leather is excellent and the chair still looks like new after 2 years of daily usage (8 hour /day). I highly recommend this chair. David January 20, 2011
Not for the tall The quick: Great chair for average height folks. Don't bother if you're tall. I first saw this in a catalog and liked the design. I took a year to order it because I just couldn't imagine buying a chair over the internet. But Levenger's "How to buy a chair by mail" text convinced me to try. The chair is not for the tall. At 6' 5", the headrest hits me in the shoulder blades - even at maximum height. When reclined, the headrest pushes forward to support the neck - a feature - unless you're tall; in which case it jams into your shoulder blades. Same for the lumbar. Though adjustable, it doesn't go up high enough and ends up missing your lower back by an inch or two - frustratingly close! (I'd also recommend a maximum seat depth of more than 21" to my tall friends.) So, if you're average size, great chair. If you're tall, look for something else. Now I'll find out how well Levenger stand behind "If a chair doesn’t work out, just call. We’ll arrange to pick it up and refund you for the cost of the chair." January 3, 2010
