Basic Good Quality Bookcase If you want a plain, good quality bookcase this is it. With solid wood and a nice finish this is something you'll keep forever. If you have mostly hardcover books you will probably find as I do that you use one less shelf than shown -- for example, for the 72" high model I can fit 5 shelves of books, so one of the adjustable shelves goes unused. Even with all the adjustable shelves removed the bookcase is heavy, it will be helpful to have a friend help you put it into position. April 8, 2009
