I bought this lamp in 1992 and use it daily. The bulb just burned out after 20 years. I love this lamp!
In order to change the bulb on this older model, tightly grasp the back of the housing with your left hand. Turn the housing counter-clockwise with your right hand. It will unscrew.

do not misplace product guide
If you misplace your product guide, the lamp becomes useless when you need to replace the light bulb. Otherwise the lamp is sturdy and will last forever. I have contacted levenger now that the lamp has returned to the catalog. I have requested a new product guide.
