Moleskine Large Notebook
Exactly what I needed
This notebook is great for my every day notes at work. The option for grid paper is really nice as a lot of my notes can be drawings.

I've tried many different journals for work and school and Moleskine have the best size and durability for my usages. I prefer the larger soft covers but these are top notch as well.

Very Nice Notebook
Handy size. Paper and cover texture are very good. Paper is very smooth and doesn't have any of the "scratchy" feel regardless of the type of pen used. Very good for keeping ongoing daily and meeting notes.

Great Quality Notebook
This is such a great quality notebook. I first came across them while living in Italy in a little bookshop. I love the quality, size, and shape of this notebook and the paper is great!

I have been using these notebooks as a daily journal for about four years. They are well constructed and easy to write in even for my left-handed penmanship. They are small enough to store easily in a desk drawer, but large enough to handle a day's worth of recollections on each page. I am now on my 6th volume and have no intentions of switching products. I am very pleased/

I have several Moleskin products, and they have been very good. But I purchased this notebook in the grid form from the Chicago store, and was very disappointed when found it wasn't useable with a fountain pen. The ink soaked right through the page and bled onto the next. Very disappointing!

Good little notebook for most
I was first introduced to Moleskine notebooks some years ago and used them steadily for a long time. I enjoy writing my thoughts and plans on paper, and the Moleskine provided a good experience. The durable black cover and elastic band will protect the notebook from the elements. The back pocket is a great addition.
My experience with many Moleskine notebooks over the years has shown that the company's quality control is not consistent, and seem to be going downward. Since I started using fountain pens, I quickly learned that the paper is not well suited to liquid inks; ball point and pencil users will have no problems. I eventually switched to Rhodia pads for this reason. After all, a notebook's paper quality is key.
In terms of overall value, most writers will find that the Moleskine meets their needs. There are other notebooks that are of higher quality for an equivalent or better price.

I've filled scores of Moleskines
A longtime Levenger customer--and admirer not only of the products' quality but of the founder's philosophy--I'm delighted that Moleskine notebooks have been added to the product line.
Some years ago when these notebooks showed up at a local bookstore, I promptly bought 100 of the small ones. "With my luck," I thought, "they'll stop producing these." Since then I've probably filled 30 or 40 small ones, and maybe 15 of the medium-size ones.
A vital tip: Number the pages (I just number the right-hand pages with odd numbers for convenience' sake), and use the inside surface of the front cover, plus that next blank leaf, for a two-column table of contents. This makes it easy to find what you've been working on.
Trust me--and many, many, many other people. You cannot go wrong with this purchase, if you're at all someone who likes to make notes and process ideas on paper. The lines are the perfect distance apart, and the covers (at least the ones I have) are stiff but thin, making it easy to write anywhere. Fancy journals are fine in their place, but this is a workhorse you will treasure.
