I purchased this (my 3rd True Writer) in Pink...It is gorgeous - swirly, pearly and richly colored. I use my pens every day and they never fail to perform. I recommend trying the Fiber Tip refills, too; they are a pleasure to write with.Levenger pens make sensational gifts and all come beautifully packaged. The presentation is impressive and luxurious - sure to delight your recipient (and make them think you spent much more than $46!). I have recommended them to friends looking for a quality gift at a reasonable price.I would also like to praise Levenger customer service. Buy with confidence, because this company stands behind everything they sell. I shop here frequently and on the rare occasion a problem has occurred, it has been corrected quickly and cheerfully. What more could you ask?Now...I am headed over to the fountain pen section to pick out a little something for myself...

I have begun writing in a nice journal that I bought and wanted a nice pen to help with building this new habit. I picked out and purchased a True Writer Kyoto rollerball pen. I selected it because I really liked its colors and design. Almost immediately after my new pen was delivered and I started using it I became very disappointed with its quality. The threaded connection where the pen comes apart for cartridge replacement constantly loosens up. I have to retighten it many times during a writing session. As I write with the pen and that joint begins to loosen the pen makes an annoying creaking sound. It seems like the pen is poorly designed with those threads being too fine and not able to hold up. My overall impression is that I paid too much money for another cheaply made pen.

Trusty and Attractive
from Fredericksburg, Virginia
Great pen. The roller ball is smooth and reliable for quick notes. Feels great in the hand, and the colors are simply delicious!
I bought this pen as a gift for my husband. While the photos are pretty, I think that they dont due true justice to the beuty of this pen. My husband commented about how light and well balanced it felt in his hand. I scored some a few points with THIS gift.
Not just another pretty pen
from East Lansing, Michigan
This is the fist pen I purchased from Levenger, on the advice of a friend. It wont be my last. The price seemed unusual for a pen, but, its more than a pen. It's a statement. Love pulling it out to write a check or sign a receipt. The color is true to how it appears on the website and it ink flows smoothly.
Move Over Mounteverde
from Lancaster, PA
This pen was purchased to replace a Mountverde pen that kept malfunctioning. The marbeled barrel is a near perfect match to what I had - the exception was I elected for a fine point rollerball tip vs. a medium point. As previous reviewers noted - the fine point tip is the perfect choice for detailed forms but comes up a bit short on the flawless signature aspect. Over all, I am pleased with the purchase and the pens performance.
Bring Back the Gold
from Manhattan, NY
I love the TrueWriter pens, particularly the Kyoto, but the change to silver doesn't make sense. Perhaps the cost to produce a gold tone pen went up? I would be more than willing to pay a premium and believe many others feel the same.
I just received this pen in the mail and it is truly amazing! First, it is beautiful. I keep looking at it and seeing all the different specks of color. It's like looking into a prism -- just fascinating. It has a wonderful feel--weighty, yet well-balanced in the hand. It writes smoothly and easily and does not blot. I am completely pleased with this purchase and feel I have a pen that is worthy of a professional image.
Wready for Writing
from Argyle, TX
Excellent craftsmanship throughout the pen. Easy to hold and angled correctly for both upright and slanted writing. Easy to use both right and left handed. My wife took my last one as soon as she saw it. Lots of inquiries as to where to buy due to its distinctive style and colors. Shows not wear after 4 years of regular use. Great Product!!
Was the perfect pen ....
But I see the former gold fittings are now silver toned. The gold color went perfectly with the brown tortoise shell pen and I need a new one but will wait until the gold returns.I do have a spare fortunately but will miss the convenience of having one in my purse and one in my desk.Silver and brown just are jarring. At least to me. But it is by far the best pen I have ever owned.
