The softer side of the Palomino Blackwing Pencil
Pencil aficionados from John Steinbeck to Thomas Wolfe to E.B. White have sung the praises of the Palomino Blackwing pencil, which was originally created in the 1930s by Eberhard Faber. Many corporate acquisitions later and amid dropoff of pencil enthusiasm, this beloved pencil was discontinued...but not forgotten. Charles Berolzheimer II has brought it back, now in a modified version with a slightly softer, smoother lead for artists.

  • Hexagonal shape won’t roll off your desk
  • Oblong rectangular white eraser is removable, fully extending its use

The Palomino Pencil My husband bought me these wonderful pencils for Christmas as requested for my school work. I substitute teach and everytime I pull one of these pencils out the students (K-12) just go crazy. They want one. They want to know what it is. They think they are so cool! I am buying extra packs now to give one pencil out to students who do something worthy. Better than candy, app or computer game. April 21, 2013
Love these pencils I gave these to my son (age 10) and daughter (age 13) for school. They love them and like the fact that all of their classmates know if they find a "blackwing" pencil who to return it to because they are so unique. February 26, 2013
Love these Both these and the gray version are wonderful writing instruments. I'm a writer, and prefer pencils for certain functions. You can definitely tell the difference when you use these pencils. The very best, well worth it. November 24, 2012
