Poem - A Ledger Book
A Ledger Book with a Journal Look Poem
Ledger books used to be for Accounting
But, for me, it’s for idea Innovating.
Like in the past,
It will keep you clean and fast.
With classic-ruled pages and golden edges,
It’s for idea Creating.
No more cluttered past,
This will keep you prepared and unsurpassed.
The solid canvas hardcover unites 200 pages
To tell the story of the Conqueror’s Making.
It lies flat and simple to log, and carries thru the nights for ages.
I know this acid-free cream paper will endure and last.
With an annotation margin to clarify my notes,
I begin my ledger book for idea Innovating.
A ledger journal cannot compare.
This record book will keep you charmed.

Engage your writing - Buy this journal!
I use this journal for work where I am in meetings for a large percentage of the day. The cream (ecru) color of the pages is very easy on the eyes for any color ink. The paper is quality and has little if any bleed-through. I've received a number of compliments on this journal. I like the margin divider to help set apart actions and summary points during a meeting. I like the page numbering to help me with indexing my minutes and work activities. I spent a little more for this with my own (not my employer's money) so that I could be more engaged in meetings. What I mean is, this journal--with its quality and classic style--demands attention (but not ostentatiously) and thus the meeting content demands my attention as a participant worthy of the journal. I used to use cheap spiral notebooks, but they resulted in cheap (messy) notes and a doodlepad. The quality paper is comfortable under the penpoint and my wrist. The covers are sturdy so that if you need to take notes on your lap during a meeting, you have a firm backing and foundation upon which to write. Levenger, do NOT discontinue this product! I will buy more.

A gift to myself, Ledgerdomain, I did buy.
My newly married initials, on the cover inscribed.
The pages much larger, a delight to see--
plenty of room for a rambler-onner like me.
My moleskine, still having pages,
I wrote more than enough, for months
In hopes of filling it to justify starting this one.
This morning, I sat, and filled up my pen
excited for possibility, for starting again.
Each journal, for me, covers a phase--
perhaps different feelings, or ages... or days...
This new one, so lovely, so very well made,
each stroke of the pen, each word, it will stay.
The paper just right, my ink won't bleed through
(If you love journaling and fountain pens, this one's for you.)
Please don't discontinue, keep selling them, please!
I want a whole shelf filled up with these.
For my children and their children to pore over and laugh,
to break out the tissues, to try and hold back
The tears of joy, the empathy, too. Every page turn
should whisper 'I'm still here, with you.'
And somewhere, they'll find, on the Levenger site,
a Ledgerdomain of their own, and they'll sit down to write.
Despite all of the easier ways that there are,
nothing beats pen and paper, nothing by far.
Thank you for the beautiful things that you sell,
my life is well written, and I use my things well.

I just purchased these with monogramming for 2 friends who still prefer journals over laptops for notetaking at work. I was impressed with the heft of the journal; these are substantial and made to last. The binding is well sewn, the paper is heavy and bright, and the size is great for serious notetaking. I think they will really like these; I am seriously contemplating the purchase of one for myself.

Does not Lie flat
I am very disappointed in this product. The cover, paper and layout are great but I wish the margin did no switch sides from odd to even. The gilded edges are great. The most important feature of a journal is that the binding allows the paper to lay flat no matter what page you are on. This journal fails utterly. It arches up like the cheapest office store journal. The binding is stiff and unresponsive. Worst of all, I am trapped in Brazil with this as my only journal. You guys really let me down.

Ye Found Gold Maties!
I'm a grandmother that plans treasure hunts for grandchildren. I decided to leave a record for them of my creative inspirations and the steps I go through when planning a treasure hunt. New vocabulary words, math, reading maps, observations of anything out of the ordinary, riddles and clues to reason through are fair game to challange their brains via outrageous fun. Because of its archival quality, the Ledgerdomain Journal is the perfect book to record the thought processes I go through when planning each new Treasure Hunt. I can sketch in the margins for visual tags, write on both sides of the page with no ink interferrance from the other side. And the gold edge is a perfect touch for Treasure Hunt memories. Please do NOT discontinue this journal. I will need more of them in the years to come. In the end, the beautiful Ledgedomain Journals with memories recorded inside, will probably become the greatest treasure of all for my grandchildren.

PLEASE do not discontinue EVER
I've given many as gifts, use these wonderful journals myself. Recipients of these as gifts have been beyond pleased--and some have become Levenger customers.
My one frustration with Levenger is how often journals and journal refills are discontinued. I have several beautiful leather journal binders---empty.
I do find these the most useful and best for writing of all the journals from Levenger. I would love to have an entire bookshelf of ONE type of journal, so please keep these as a standard---just like the Circa system that I faithfully use.
The paper is wonderful for all types of fountain pen nibs, too!

My children bought the Ledgerdomain Journal for me for Father's Day and i've loved it ever since. The pages are thick enough that the ink from my fountain pen doesn't bleed through, and the book is sturdy enough to go in my briefcase on long flights. I use it to record my thoughts and ideas on the airplane, and also for taking notes during a course I'm taking. I'll definitely be buying more as this one fills up!

Not for fountain pens
I appreciate the Levenger 100% satisfaction policy that allows returns. I bought two of these journals when they were first introduced, hoping for an alternative to a more expensive book that I use for my journal. I use a fountain pen with a fine cursive italic nib and Waterman Blue-Black ink. And with these Ledgerdomain journals I experienced bleed-through and feathering. Levenger kindly accepted my return for full credit even though I had written on the first page in fountain pen ink. These journals just might be perfect for rollerballs or ballpoints (or pencils?!) but not for fountain pens.

the perfect journal
I have kept a journal since I was in fourth grade- which would mean I've been writing in bound books for almost 50 years. But it wasn't until i read Nigel Slater's "Kitchen Diaries" that I really got serious about leaving a memoir for my children.
I immediately bought two of these perfectly sized, beautiful journals (this is a tremendous value by the way) ,filled my fountain pen (bought years ago at Levenger and still writing very well, thank you) and set to work. I just hope that Levenger keeps stocking the Legerdemain for a good long time... i have lots of writing to do!
Thanks, Levenger, for another great product.
