ACME #2 Retractable Rollerball

Price: $35.00
Item: AP11775
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Twist-open ACME rollerball pen that masquerades as a pencil
All of ACME's collections were inspired by the work of renowned artists and architects, and the #2 Retractable Rollerball Pen is a whimsical surprise created by the ACME CEO himself, Adrian Olabuenaga. He designs for brands including Mercedes-Benz, Disney and Boeing, and he and his wife Lesley run ACME in the pursuit of "functional art." This lacquered brass rollerball pen feels substantial in your hand, and it doesn't require a cap — simply twist the pink faux eraser to deploy.
  • Brass coated with lacquer and a protective clear coat
  • To deploy, twist the pink faux eraser (rather than the adjacent silver band)
  • Pencil motif in yellow barrel, silver faux eraser band, pink faux eraser and peach faux wood "sharpened" encasing
  • Black "2" circle and green imprinting with "ACME Writing Tools"
  • 5 1/4L x 3/8 diameter; 1.09 oz
  • We offer ACME rollerball refills

Best Pen Ever I love this pen! I have carpal tunnel, and I actually have very little problem using this pen. The ink is amazing--doesn't smear, which I was kind of expecting. June 12, 2013
What fun! I LOVE this pen! First, I love the idea of a retractable roller ball. Second, I love the weight and feel of the pen. Third, I love the fact that it doesn't roll. Fourth, I love that it doesn't have a pocket clip. Most of all, though, I love the design. It makes me giggle - and I'll take all the levity I can find in a work day! December 3, 2010
Clever design but... I love the cleverness of this pen, and the price is right, but I have two major complaints re function. First, the refill doesn't protrude far enough out of the body of the pen, making it necessary to hold the pen more vertical than I naturally do. Second, the eraser, which is the retracting device for the point, is somewhat difficult to turn, as it is too short to grasp well, and it also will come unscrewed if you accidentally turn too much, which is easy to do. Would I still buy it again? Yes, for its witty design. February 22, 2010
