TK Fine Vario Pencil
Very functional tool
I draw extensively on maps and regular pencils need sharpening constantly. Mechanical pencils kept breaking lead as I draw. I got this in the hopes that it would hold up to intense and heavy use. It performs just as I hoped it would.
The downside is that it is extremely light. I would prefer a bit more heft and perhaps more circumference at the grip. The product is not perfect but it is very good and well worth the price.

I wrote a review but haven't seen a response. The lead won't advance on the pencil- the second one with this problem. What am I doing wrong?

I like good mechanical pencils and this one caught my attention. I really liked that there was an adjustment on it for hard or soft writing. My one criticism is that the pencil just feels incomplete without a cap for the eraser.

Don't know why I waited so long to get this, so tired of inferior quality .7 pencils- always breaking the lead when I press hard for darker lines. Got a FC 1.4 years back for writing music and loved it. Variable touch feature works well. Do agree with earlier reviewer's comment about the grip though, is a bit slim and slippery.

Faber-Castell TK Pencil
Fine writing instrument. Great weight and balance...no writing fatigue! It's the main reason I use during the day. Great design, a lot of people notice it!

I have purchased a lot of expensive pencils - this one takes the cake. The price, durability and comfort.. you just can't beat it!!

Best Mechanical Pencil I've Owned
I've bought several mechanical pencils for art work and just taking notes and often they don't stand up to day to day use. This one has a substantial feel to it and is very comfortable to use when either drawing or just writing with. It will be my go to pencil from here on.

High Quality, But Thin Grip
I love to write with a good pen or pencil that feels good to hold for extended periods. This a high quality pencil, but the combination of thin pencil and shiny metal grip make the pencil not the most comfortable to hold for extended writing. The Palomino Blackwing pencils, also available from Levenger, are excellent pencils. I have both lead types and both types are, in my opinion, five stars.
I closing, this Faber-Castell pencil might work for you, it just didn't work for me.
