A Decent Pen
The True Writer Silver Anniversary Ballpoint is a good looking pen with decent action, and takes a variety of refills. Levenger's Easy-Flow refills are particularly nice the flow well and lay down a rich well-saturated line of ink. The refill that comes with the pen is no slouch either.
However, there seems to be a small design problem with diameter of the opening at the pen's tip. The opening is slightly wider than the refill; consequently, the refill clicks against the side of the pen each time it touches the paper. I've checked my other high-quality ballpoints and they don't have this gap around the point of the pen. I've sent one pen back already and received a refill from Levenger's customer service, which is excellent by the way. Unfortunately, the replacement has the same gap and the resulting clicking.
On the whole, this is a decent pen that would be among my favorites if the refill fit the pen's tip a bit more tightly.

Inspired by Dapper Dan and his "magic wand" description, I purchased this pen for Christmas and our 25th wedding anniversary. It's lovely and sparkly--and warm because I wear it. It helped me through a grading session, as a bribe.

All that glitters
Talk about a wow factor...this gorgeous gunmetal ballpoint gleams and glitters like a jewel when I'm writing...it's my new magic wand! The etched pattern on the barrel catches the light and creates a subtly dazzling effect. The pen is a bit weightier than my other True Writers--it's solid brass rather than the usual lightweight resin--and it feels great in the hand. Happy anniversary, Levenger--you have another winner here, an elegant, tasteful design that rivals pens with much, much higher price tags!
