The vibrant colors of our rollerball are an exuberant interpretation of Alma Woodsey Thomas’s 1969 painting, Iris, Tulips, Jonquils and Crocuses. Howard University’s first graduate in art, Thomas (1891-1978) was also the first African-American to have a solo show at the Whitney. Her Iris painting resides at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, which as our partner receives a portion of each rollerball sale. Your purchase helps keep women’s art in perennial flower.
