Good and too light. A large size pen i bought for a better fit in the hand. Mostly it is fat. But it needs more heft to go with the size. The flat spiral surface makes a comfortable grip in various positions. Having cleaned it immediately, recommended by one of the reviews, it gives good ink flow. "Fine" nib could be a lot finer. This is a great product. The Facets fountain pen looks great, feels great and really lays the ink smoothly on the paper with next to no effort! This is my favorite fountain pen! July 9, 2015
Facets in olive I took advantage of one of your sales to try you facet line of pens. I ordered the olive shade, because I didn't have any pens in that color. I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the pen when it arrived. The colors are very nice, and the swirling effect is very attractive, while still not being in the least ostentatious. I was even more pleasantly surprised by the the pen when I inked it and wrote for the first time. I always flush a new fountain pen, just in case of any residual oils that might be left from the manufacturing process. It may not have been necessary, in this case, but the pen performed flawlessly. The nib floated over the paper smoothly, and the line was even and nicely inked. It performed up to the standards I'd apply to much more expensive pens. The light weight and smoothness will make long writing sessions much more enjoyable for me, while still retaining the personal touch that I feel I've lost when using a keyboard. I'll be exploring other offerings, now that I know the quality of your products. June 4, 2015
my first I decided I was finally old enough to warrant such a treat...why wait so long? I do a lot of writing and rarely lose things....Time to celebrate, bought the pen, thrilled I did!!:) i FEEL especially special--yeah! Go ahead, just DO IT.(Nike ref.) March 5, 2015
I like it! This is a fairly large pen - 4 7/8" long, 5 1/2" posted, 1/2" diameter. It is light however and feels good in my hand. The ink flow is generous and it starts writing well each time I've used it. I think the styling is very attractive - I have the Onyx color. I bought it "on sale", so I think it was a good value. I'm pretty happy with it! January 29, 2015
An amazing Christmas gift My girlfriend has wanted a nice pen for just about 10 years now, and this Christmas I surprised her with this pen! She absolutely loves it and she loves the size and feel of the body.we also agree that it's a very beautiful piece. Her birth stone is sapphire and it reminds her of it. Very amazing gift and Deffinately would come back for another one in the future December 26, 2014
Not for the faint of heart The Facets fountain pen is not for the faint of heart: it's a big pen that's a handful. Uncapped it's 4 7/8" long, and posted a substantial 6 3/8" long to match its sizeable girth. While not a heavy pen, I found that when posted the balance was fairly neutral, but it was uncomfortable to write with due to it's size. Unposted the pen fits in my medium sized hands well, so while the Facets pen can work for those with medium to large hands by choosing to post the cap or not. The tines on my pen required a bit of alignment (commonly required for a fountain pen out of the box), and experienced hard starting and skipping even though I had flushed the pen with water prior to inking. Using a pen flush with diluted ammonia was required to clear the feed and eliminate the ink flow issues, and now my pen puts down a wet and broad side of medium line. The Facets fountain pen is beautiful, with great depth in the acrylic material in the body and cap. The metal furniture compliments the pen's look, where it would get compliments in both the lunch room and board room. December 30, 2013
Good Purchase This was the first fountain pen I have purchased and I have to say I love it. I am getting used to using it because it gets dry after a couple of days of non-use, but that is the only drawback I see and I am learning how to deal with that. As for the pen itself, it is great. I would recommend this to anyone. I certainly feel very professional when I have to pull this pen out for meetings. December 21, 2013
OK Pen Purchased this pen online without holding or writing with it in the store, which we have about an hour away. Purchased with the discount around black Friday which was a great price with 25% off. When I received the pen and opened the case, it is a beautiful pen. Quality was great, wrote very nice, but it is a very larg (round) pen and the swirl ridges just didn't work for me, it was very annoying on my fingers. I took it back to the local store and traded it for another pen. Levenger traded it with no issues in the store, so I was very happy with the new pen. December 7, 2013
Nice but... I loved this pen but it was sitting on a table three feet off the ground when it was knocked off and it fell on to hard wood floor and the top broke. For $99 would have expected it to be a little more sturdy. I understand that it is plastic but three feet?? I now only hope they sell the cap or the pen is shot and it is barely three months old. Disappointing. November 27, 2013
