Best Pad Ever I have been a fan of the Rhodia pads since I got my first one. I just got the R pad to try out and I am impressed. All the great features of the other Rhodia pads, flip cover to protect the paper when carrying, heavy weigh back cardboard, substantial paper that fountain pens do not bleed through. But the paper in this one is like a slice of heaven. The surface is so smooth that you just want to touch it. Writing with a fountain pen on this paper is incredible. Yes it is an expensive pad, but when I use a Rhodia as my primary note taking pad at work they last me 6+ months before filled, stay looking classy, keep the corners from curling (Oh how that bugs me when it happens on uncovered pads), and makes me feel special every time I write on it. With the satin smooth paper in this pad I get to enjoy a few moments of luxury every time my fountain pen glides across the surface. While I endorse the whole Rhodia line, the R is for anyone that appreciates the absolute best. November 10, 2012
Rhodia paper the best This paper is wonderful! I was looking for a paper which did not bleed through with my new bold nib fountain pen (being disappointed with my Moleskine notebooks in that regard), and this is it! And it writes so smoothly and effortlessly. It may be expensive, but when there is nothing comparable, or which meets your requirements, then the expense fades as a factor. October 19, 2013
