Very nice but not perfect
First, overall I like the bomber brief. It is the exact size I was looking for with the possibility of expansion with little effort. The bag, when expanded, is huge. It carries everything I need. The look is also great. The aged leather look does remind you of an old aviator's leather jacket, and the interior material gives the same impression.
However, much like one of the other reviewers, I have had problems with the hardware attached to the case. I immediately noted that one of the clasps in the front was almost impossible to fasten. Not wanting to go through the hassle of return, I ignored it and didn't use the front pockets much. Then, after very little use, the front clasp completely broke off without any type of trauma. Simply fell off. I feel the quality of the hardware leaves a lot to be desired.
With a little more focus on the hardware, this would be a fantastic case.

My Daily Companion, Rain or Shine
I have used the Levenger Bomber Jacket Expandable Briefcase for about two months now. It has been a daily companion to and from work, meetings and business trips for me. I would consider it large in sized for a daily traveler but I like to take files, my Levenger Bomber Zip Folio and my Bomber Jacket 10" Laptop/Tech Sleeve holding my Kindle HD and all its accessories as well as a MacBook Pro. It all fits with plenty of room for other items as well. I did go back-and-forth between this brief and the Bomber Laptop Brief due to some other comments about it being “the size of a small piece of luggage”. Maybe when it is expanded and fully loaded, I could agree with that but as is when it is not stuffed, the leather is supple enough that it collapses down but will still sit up freely on its’ own and is smaller than a “traditional” briefcase.
The quality of this and all of my Levenger Bomber Jacket products is second to none. The workmanship, and leather feel/quality is outstanding and well worth the hefty price tag. The only cons if you want to call them one is when I have it loaded, it is quite heavy. I would expect this for the quality of the materials used in its’ manufacture. Additionally I did not receive the luggage tag pictured with the purchase either.
I am 110% satisfied with this purchase. I have been smitten by the quality of Levenger products and have now started to buy my wife a few items, as well additional items to round out my collection and maybe even start new ones.
Thank you Levenger!

I've been wanting this expandable Bomber Jacket briefcase for awhile. I have the courier bag and laptop brief-folio of the same style and really love the design. The expandable briefcase is a lot larger than I expected, so be warned that this briefcase is really like a small piece of luggage. That said, it suits me, because it carries my laptop, my iPad, with ample room for books and files from the office.... I wish the side-flap had a magnet instead of buckles, and the strap isn't as comfortable as I'd like. Still, I'm happy with the purchase. Expensive, but it holds everything...just know that it's a lot larger than you realize...so large that it can function as an ample briefcase, plus an over-night bag once expanded. That's not a bad thing...heavy, though.
