Levenger Special Request: Taking Requests – and Taking Names

As certain paper styles have become less popular with Levenger customers, they had fallen out of the product assortment—but that doesn’t sit well with many of Levenger’s most ardent fans! So Levenger has brought back those special styles and formats, by Special Request. On-demand printing is the wave of the future, and each Special Request refill set or notebook is printed on demand, order by order.

The Cover Story: Circa Gets Personal

The flysheet of each Circa Special Request Notebook is patterned in the customer’s choice of the light blue mottling of Composition, the ceramics-inspired Mosaic, the white-against-black line cityscape drawing of Skyline, or the artistic and colorful Words design. There’s a white area for personalization, either for the customer’s (or their recipient’s) name, organization’s name, or subject—or, it can be left blank altogether and filled in later.

Each Special Request Notebook comes with Circa 1/2″ black discs, translucent front and back covers, and 60 sheets of paper. And the paper comes in the customer’s choice of format:

Circa-Punched Sheets: Special Request Formats

Circa Special Request refills are also available to fill that beautiful notebook, of course—take a deep breath, because the list is extensive! They include a Weekly Agenda refill, project planner, things to do, multitask organizer, menu planner, shopping list, address, Web site information, full-page ruled, college ruled (with or without title boxes), full-page grid, engineer grid, annotation grid, right-annotation ruled, annotation ruled with double header, steno ruled, storyboard, Bookography, message cards, ruled/grid, or blank. Many of these are in the various Circa sizes, including letter, junior, compact, and even PDA (3 x 5 size) and micro PDA (2 x 3 1/2, the size of a business card).

Better in Threes: Three-Hole-Punched Special Request Formats

And now for the customer’s tri-ring binder, Special Request even includes three-hole punched Levenger paper for loose-leaf binders, which come in formats including full-page ruled, address, storyboard, project planner, things to do, annotation ruled, annotation grid, or blank.

Straitlaced Paper: Unpunched Special Request Formats

Special Request not only encompasses Circa notebooks, Circa refill sheets, and tri-ring punched paper, but also refills of unpunched Levenger paper in various formats—including full-page ruled, annotation ruled, grid, annotation grid, engineer grid, project planner, things to do, address, storyboard, or blank. Other bring-back formats include 3 x 5 index card–style Tasker Cards in these vertical formats: shopping list, ruled notes, things to do, messages, idea, and reminder; also in horizontal ruled (ruled lengthwise) and wallet-size Web cards.

And Levenger’s larger 4 x 6 cards are available as well (do you hear the cheers of joy in the background?), in ruled, grid, window, and blank, each of those in either horizontal or vertical orientation.

The Levenger Special Request line is flexible, adaptable, personalizable, and made to order—at the snap of your fingers. Hot off the presses!

Steve Leveen on heritage technologies: or why paper can still be cool

Levenger CEO and co-founder Steve Leveen had an intriguing conversation with Tribe magazine recently on why paper (and pens, and leather and wood) can make smartphones smarter and tablets even better tools. We call these the heritage technologies, and find that thought-catchers like our Circa and Shirt Pocket Briefcases still have a place alongside high technology in helping people be even more productive.

Have a read at what Steve has to say on Tribe (page 11 of the PDF).  Plus, you get to see what he keeps in his desk drawers. And feel free to tweet Steve with your take on heritage technologies.
