Every Essay a Gem
Every essay a gem. This is a collection of 23 of White's essays which first appeared in the "New Yorker" in the 30s, 40s, and early 50s. But these gems are timeless at the heart, raising up for scrutiny issues that we are dealing with right now.Os.

I appreciated the very short chapters of justtwo or three pages - you can read one, lay it down, if necessary . Then come back to it with nothing lost..
E. B. White Gems of Wisdom
from Ann Arbor, MI
This book is for fans of E.B. White and those folks new to his writings. Thought provoking and filled with wisdom, I thoroughly enjoyed reading his words. I've shared many of the ideas White presents with friends and family, and lively discussions have ensued. The price is a bit steep, but as a gift, it is money well spent.
from Sacramento CA
E. B. White is a writer's writer. Any of his writings that appear between the covers of a book merit the maximum of stars. This small volume is a treasure of excellent writing in a beautifully bound book.
