First, I have to confess that I have silently lusted after the Circa system for many years, but for whatever reason never got one for myself. A friend gave me a Circa Junior for Christmas, however, and I immediately wanted MORE! This Sampling Kit gave me a taste of the other sizes and accessories, and I immediately began experimenting with various configurations. I developed a unique information indexing / action method I used with spiral notebooks, and am finding it even easier to use with the Circa system. ***Example in the picture*** I strongly recommend this Sampling Kit as a quick start for those new to Circa, and as a convenient way for existing Circa users to experiment with new sizes and formats.

The Good and Bad

I bought the starter kit to evaluate the possible use of the Circa system both for myself at work and my daughter in high school.
The Good:
- The organizational capabilities are phenomenal.
- The Variety of inserts available is truly staggering.
- The usability for someone with ADHD (both my daughter and I) is outstanding.
- The ability to pull from a Master notebook used to take notes, and transfer them to subject specific notebooks is a godsend.

The bad:
- The paper is _not_ fountain pen friendly, the only pen that was legible was one with an Extra fine nib.
- The paper feels like it is made from a similar stock as that used to make comment cards/reply cards, etc.
- The paper issue is a major problem, as I write with a fountain pen daily. I had read older reviews of the Circa notebooks that said they were FP friendly.

Overall I like the system, and will purchase components for my daughter to use, but I will not be able to use the Levenger paper stock for myself. I may use the components with some 32# stock printed with similar templates (I already use a modified Cornell system for my notes at work).

If you are using ball point pens or gel pens, then the Circa could easily be all fives. If you use a FP, it drops to between a 3 and 4.

I have just started learning about disc-bound notebooks and planners, and I heard that Levenger quality was exceptional. I wanted to try it out for myself, and this starter kit seemed like just the thing. I'm so glad I purchased because it's amazing! I loved the selection I received (a little bit of everything, enough to make a small notebook sampler and a large notebook sampler). With the gift card included, buying this was a no-brainer. A no brainer of a product. Great variety, enough stuff to make two different notebooks (one junior and one letter) along with plenty of paper, tabs, etc. A great way to give someone an introduction into the Circa system and the $40 gift card makes this pack basically free! This kit offers way more functionality than I expected. Gives you all you need to get up to speed with the Circa system and gives you enough variety to be able to see what works for you. If you're on the fence deciding whether or nor Circa is worth the investment take the plunge and try this. It makes it super easy and economical to set up a first class paper system that is out of this world organized. Works for literally every type of application: school, personal projects, time/task management, creating reference books, scrapbooks etc. Love that it gives me two different size notebooks.

I use this product for task lists and To Do's that are in process of getting done. The different size pages are perfect for when I just want to write down a small reminder and the lists are perfect to check off and add the date to be completed by. I only gave four stars for style because the colors are limited to one-light blue. BUT that gives me the option to customize with my paint sharpies? Perfect for school, home, work and work and work- I use these for all . I bought one for myself and one as a gift- that I am pondering keeping.

Started my Circa Obsession...

It took me way too long to order this, but I'm glad I finally did. It's a great way to try out the Circa system, and the extra gift card is a prefect bonus. I used it to purchase the smooth silver notebook and dot grid paper (which unfortunately has since been discontinued.... Please bring it back!!). I still use all of the provided accessories.
The only thing I would change is adding different paper options. I don't really use the annotation pages and it would be nice to have received this with paper I'd use more often.
Overall this kit is a prefect introduction to the Circa system and I have ordered many other add-ons since. I am now obsessed with the system and will likely stay a loyal customer of Levenger.
