Reviews

The light itself is great;

"The light itself is great; very satisfying weight, looks great on my shelf. The dimmer switch could be a bit more responsive, takes a while to actually turn on, and the shade could fit a little more securely. Overall, maybe a little on the expensive side for the quality, but would recommend as an attractive and functional reading light."

Golden Lamp

"This warm glow makes me smile every night when I walk into our bedroom. It warms my heart."

— Sharon C. (5/5)

Books and Art

"Highlights my library and art, a nice addition."

— Rosalinda A. (5/5)

Lovely light

"I put this on our built in bookcases. I put it on the lowest light setting and it gives a beautiful glow to the room."

— Nancee W. (5/5)

Well Designed and Built Lamp

"Loved this lamp design and it’s substantially made. However, there was a paint flaw towards the front and the cording was not in its compartment but squished in the box as if it was a returned item. Also the electrical warning labels were put on the front of the candle rather than the back. I contacted customer support a week ago and have heard nothing back."

— Lorraine S. (4/5)

Solid anchor

"Was hoping to slip into book slot, but can adapt on rolltop desk. Usual Levenger reliability"

— Frank D. (4/5)

Well worth the premium; don't buy the cheap ones!

"This is a high-quality, heavy book stand and lamp that looks great and gets a lot of compliments. You will find cheaper, less substantial (flimsy) knock-offs on other websites. I can attest to the fact that none of the fakes come close to this classy piece."

— Mike (5/5)

Bookshelf Lamp

"My bookshelf lamp arrived and it is more lovely than I expected. So worth the extra expense."

— Nancy C. (5/5)

Bookshelf Lamp…

"Great lamp…"

— Ross S. (5/5)

Beautifully constructed, this little lamp

"Beautifully constructed, this little lamp adds charm and functionality!"

Q&A

Is the book portion of the lamp hollow? If so, how much stuff can it hold?
The book portion of the lamp is hollow but contains the electrical components and is sealed, so it cannot be used for storage.
There’s a review that mentioned charging requires 220v? I want to make sure that isn’t the case. Also, is it bright enough for reading? I want to put it on my end table to read at night. Thank you 😊
The comment regarding 220v is incorrect — this lamp is 110v and made for use in the USA. It uses a 40W bulb (approximately 300 lumens). While it can be used for reading, most reading tasks typically benefit from 400–500 lumens, so it may provide softer light rather than bright task lighting.
Where is the on/off switch?
There is a knob at the bottom of the book that is the on/off/dimmer switch.
Is there a possibility that this item will be further discounted in the next few months. am interested in a purchase but the price remains quite high
Our lighting discounts are updated periodically. However, if you'd like, you can contact customer care, and in most cases, we may be able to accommodate a small discount for you.
Do you need a cord with this? It looks like I can put it anywhere I need it.
The product comes with an attached 10 ft cord. It is located in the back.
