Missed opportunity

"Anyone who’s ever been to, or seen photos of Mardi Gras, knows it’s purple, green and GOLD. This is a lovely pen and has all the great Levenger qualities I’ve come to appreciate. They missed a real opportunity here by using silver metal trim instead of gold, so I deducted one star. Again, it’s still a great pen, but could have looked better."

Like the pen, converter is a problem

"The pen is really quite pretty, but a little more muted than in the pictures. It still adds a nice touch of whimsy on days I use this one. The fine nib writes well with no issues. The only problem I have is with the converter. It was only good for two refills before it started not filling, even after flushing and giving it 3 tries each time I attempted to fill the converter. It appears that it may have lost its airtight seal which shouldn’t happen after only two refills. I purchased another True writer fountain pen at the same time and had the same problem with that converter as well. I’m giving it three stars because I will need to find another converter from another company before I can use the pen again. If not for that I would have given it 4 stars. It is still a worthy pen if they fix the issues with the converter that comes with it."
