Appearance great - usability not so great

"Bought this item since I liked the appearance and wanted to give it a try. Once packaged, the sticky notes were not very "sticky". I used the larger pads and after a day or two they would come off the pages I had used them for. Perhaps this piece is more for decoration on someone's desk as the appearance is great. However, the sticky notes I buy from Staples are still performing excellent after 3-4 years they have been used in my files. Would certainly not buy this again."
