Practical and beautiful

"I purchased two to stack inside a large, solid wood television cabinet I have repurposed as an art storage cabinet. I have one turned sideways to store canvases, palettes, and wirebound watercolor paper, with the top shelves left horizontal to hold other types of paper. I added a drawer to store brushes and pencils. They are solid, well-built, and beautifully finished. Where can i get the hardward for the shelves? I some how misplaced the hardward as I used the cubi as a binder storage unit. I have the shelves but not the rods that go in the cubi. Can I order them separately?

The Cubi came with a special note about "Darkening of Natural Cherry" with exposure to light and the possibility of uneven darkening. It says "We recommend you not permanently rest objects on exposed surfaces during the first two weeks. During this period, an object left in the same place for even a few days will show a lighter color beneath. After the break-in period you can leave objects in place since color development will be complete." Does this also apply to leaving object on the shelves inside the box? My Cubi gets no direct sun, but the brightness of the room varies considerably with the sun's transit during the day.
The “darkening” note mainly applies to surfaces with more light exposure. Interior shelves get less light, so the effect is minimal. To be safe, avoid leaving objects in the exact same spot for the first two weeks, then you can use it normally. Slight color variation over time is natural for cherry wood.
