"The True Writer Bordeaux is a lovely shade of dark red with swirls in the body and cap. The M nib gives a smooth writing experience. I have a lot of the True Writer pens, and enjoy the different colors of the series. The only thing I would want is a stub nib option. I have changed out True Writer nibs with a #5 loose stub nib I bought elsewhere. The Bordeaux TW is beautiful, and worth adding to the collection. I filled mine with Monteverde Sweet Life Cherry Danish ink."

Not as expected

"Pen writes beautifully, but the color is not as shown. I expected a deep, dark burgundy, and received a pen that leans purple/brown with gold. It's pretty, but not Bordeaux, and not as shown online."

Beautiful Burgundy

"This is an outstanding color in the Tru Writer stable of fountain pens. All of the things that make this model so welcoming are there, the size, shape, feel in the hand, nib etc. . . . The thing that sets this pen apart from most others, even pens not Levenger made, is this unique resin. The color feels pliant in your hand, almost soft. There is depth in the chatoyance and just a hint of spark behind the swirls. It seems to mold itself to your hand and the pen just makes you happy. That's a great thing to say about anything in your life. Quite a few of these True Writer's fit in this category. I never would have thought a pen model would be that comfortable to write with. They really are True Writers."
