Great pencil
"This was my first set of these pencils (previously only used mechanical ones). Love them. I prefer these or the next size in lead firmness (extra firm)for writing/note taking. For artists I can see why a softer lead (not these) would be perfect. The eraser is ok, I prefer using the white pentel block erasers. I’m now using pencils more frequently."

Using a Blackwing Pencil
"Only within the past year have I become familiar with the Blackwing pencil. Quite frankly, they became known to me when I heard James Patterson say in an interview that he wrote his books using Blackwings. I purchased several different boxes of Blackwings before seeing the 602 Firm version which I have discovered are far better to use as I do for daily journaling and planner entries.Unless you prefer a really soft pencil or possibly for drawing, I recommend the Firm 602. And yes, it my opinion, they are worth $2.50 per pencil ✏️."

"I have a few boxes stashed away....just in case. Similar to my favourite Jay's Potato Chip pencils that I had in high school art class 50 years ago, I always have one or two close at hand for when inspiration strikes. Best of the best and worth every cent. Highly recommended."

Really Are The Best
"I often visit libraries that do not allow pens in the room. But my vision is such that a normal pencil is not dark enough for me to read easily any more. So I thought I would try these as a solution. Real happy with this purchase. The pencil writes dark enough to suit my needs, writes smoothly, and erases completely when required. One less headache to worry about!"
