A desktop necessity in the 19th century Victorian and early 20th century Edwardian eras, tabletop storage cabinets like this were used to organize and hold personal correspondence. Later, U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill had a similar letterbox on his desk serving as functional desk tidier, neatly storing incoming and outgoing mail, stamps and stationery, and of course, his iconic speeches. Today, dedicated writers will find it just as useful. Our compact, space-saving Edwardian Rolltop Letterbox is also ideal for storing notebooks, paperwork, even arts and crafts projects in a small footprint. Roll up the top to start working and roll it down for serene desktop feng shui.

Beautiful

"This was a gift for my daughter and she was thrilled to have this beautiful letterbox place to store her stationery!"

— Joyce A. (5/5)

Arrived broken

"The roll top slats arrived separated from the sticky liner with some totally off the box. Since the slats would not stick when re-inserted, my husband used glue and wax on the edges. The slats continue to separate from the liner. but I can't return the letter- box. Disappointed with the purchase. Good idea but not functional."

— Nancy H. (2/5)

"Very pleased. Well made, truly a center piece addition to my desk!"
