Fun with Colored Disks

"My most recent order from Levenger's was several sets of disks from their "diskbound" series. I use their week-by-week calendar every day, and I like to stuff extra pages in there for various needs. The colored disks go with some of the notebook covers I've acquired, and I really enjoy mixing and matching."

Did not work and returns are cumbersome.

"They did not work. Too large for the holes in the paper."

Kandice H. (1/5)

"Slightly too big to work with other discbound journal covers and pages. Feels cheap, material is dull."

Who designed these discs this way and why?

"I am extremely disappointed with these new Circa discs. As soon as I opened the package and saw the the inner part of the discs was now a matte finish instead of a smooth finish like the earlier discs, I knew that these were going to be problematic. I installed them anyway and my worst fears were verified; it is now nearly impossible to smoothly open my letter sized notebook even though it contained fewer than 125 pages. The 1. 5 inch discs are supposedly capable of holding up to 200 pages but even at 60% of this capacity, page flipping without binding is literally impossible. "Our resin notebook discs are individually hand-turned to ensure that each page flips seamlessly in your notebook. " I seriously doubt that any kind of quality control was conducted on these discs given their atrocious performance. What is truly disappointing is that I own a set of 11 beautiful . 75" Kyoto discs from 2008 which worked flawlessly. I decided that I needed to add capacity to my notebook for work and ordered these 1. 5" discs only to see that they fail miserably at the very thing they were supposed to do. Because these discs are visually stunning, I do not want to return them so I am now forced to hand polish each one until they are as smooth as my previous set. I was impressed with many of Levenger's items and my previous involvement with your products instilled confidence in your quality and attention to the user experience; I am now extremely hesitant about buying or recommending any of your products to anyone."
