"I ordered it on sale. Then I received a back order notice a week or so later which was annoying. I wouldn't have purchased if it was out of stock. "I love the tortoiseshell finish on this pen. The coloring is warm and elegant and of course it writes beautifully. Tried switching the nibs and that is a nice option. "As the pen's description says and the review title mentions, this is a dark colored pen. That is not a bad thing, thoughb because there are joys and depth in that darker combination of colors making up this particular tortoiseshell acrylic. It seems every pen and acrylic producer has their own particular spin on this color combination. Levenger has chosen to go this route and I feel it adds a sense of mystery to the pen. In the darker mixture of this chipped acrylic mix, there is quite a bit of depth and chatoyance that one would not expect. Being a crushed, mixed acrylic, the light will flah for a moment and be gone as if it diappears in the body of the pen. All of the features of the True Writer design are there and the quality in the nib and writing experience are also present. With pens of this caliber it usually comes down to a matter of choice in the color and how it speaks to you. This darker color adds some elegance and sophistication to your shirt pocket in an office setting. What might seem to be another black pen on first glance will quickly draw some attention from your coworkers. Admit it, we all want a little bit of that. Many of these pens from Levenger give the writer that kind of feeling. It's that little extra you just can't describe but you know it when it comes around. I like the pen a lot. You will also."
