"I didn't really need a leatherbound notebook in a beautiful hue of blue, but I wanted one. Upgraded to aluminum discs for an extra pop of color. In sit-downs I pull this notebook from my briefcase and those I'm meeting look embarrassed with their wire spiral 3-subject notebooks and legal pads. That's neither here nor there. The functionality of the Circa is matched by its beauty, making it an aesthetic pleasure to use. For those who write almost exclusively with fountain pens, the Circa paper takes in beautifully, with no bleed. Thinking about a purchase? "Quality is fantastic. I love the fact that I can move pages around. This is the type of notebook I’ve been searching for because I’m scatterbrained and constantly writing notes. This just makes my life and keeping up with my demanding taskers more manageable. Engraving is smooth and worth the extra money. So many options for refills too… so worth it. I didn’t realize the discs that come with it are plastic and feel cheap, so just make sure to spend the money on the aluminum discs."

"This notebook is honestly a dream if you’re picky about your stationery. The leather feels amazing and is really soft. It has that great smell that lets you know it’s high quality too. ​The best part is how the cover flips all the way back so it stays totally flat. That makes it easy to write even when you don't have a desk. Since it uses the disc system, you can move pages around without making a mess. It’s the perfect size to carry everywhere and the paper is thick enough that ink won't bleed through. It’s just a really solid piece that makes staying organized feel a lot easier."

how do discs work
Our Circa system works by using round discs (Circa Discs) that have a slight lip on the edge of the disc which holds pages and covers together. Unlike a 3 hole punch paper, circa punched paper is punched in such a way that allows the paper to securely fit and stay on the discs. When considering purchasing discs you will need to consider the amount of paper you will be using in your notebook. The more paper, the larger the disc needed. Our larger discs, 2" & 3", are generally for archiving large books. Our most common size are 3/4" & 1".
