"I am baffled by the design of the pen loop. The loop is in the way when you try to write in the notebook, and it is too large to hold most pens. I am probably going to have to cut it off and replace it with a better loop."

Topped it off with a beautiful True Writer pen in the Water design, to bring out the blue. The leather has a quality feel to it and the blue is a rich shade. "Love the deep blue color, my biggest problem is deciding which discs to pair with it! I'm using a Retro51 pen so maybe the matching cherry ones. Note, as another reviewer mentioned, this is not the soft pebbled leather used in other Circa leather notebooks (which I admit I have many of) but rather a very smooth leather finish. Still beautiful though!"
