Excellent supplement to my digital calendar

"My workdays tend to be very meeting-heavy, and my calendar is in Outlook. That meeting schedule tends to be pretty dynamic, as colleagues are able to add meetings to my calendar and I add meetings as needs emerge over the course of a day, week, etc. Very detailed calendars with time slots feel excessive, because I don't want to copy all of that dynamic digital information and keep updating it. But I also have a lot of tasks, and it can be hard to take good advantage of the slivers of meeting-free time if I am not well organized about it. Enter this simple, clean planner. I use the "Priorities" boxes at the top for an overview of the day's schedule, highlighting the blocks of time I have to work on tasks. I use the "To-Do" section for my task lists, and it is handy that they are all in one spot for the week because there is often spillover from one day to the next -- not all are due on a specific day, and this lets me track them all where I can see that they're still open without a lot of reshuffling. And I use "Notes" for jotting down information that will be needed during the week, but if it's needed longer I add it to my notebook or OneNote at the end of the week. Seeing my load of tasks together with my available blocks of time for working on tasks helps me spot the need to move or cancel meetings (in Outlook) so that I don't drop the ball on important items, and so that I don't have to work nonstop to keep up. I do a daily review at the end of the workday and set up for the day ahead. Maybe not the most sophisticated approach, but it has helped me tremendously. I noticed that this planner didn't have any reviews yet, so I thought I would share how I'm using it. It's made a bigger difference in my workflow than any other planner has in years."
