Leather Isn't As Nice as I Remember

"I ordered a similar portfolio as a gift several years ago - and I remember the leather being of a higher quality than this. Previously, I remember the aroma of leather would saturate the air when opening the Levenger box as you were greeted with a thick sheet of leather covering your folio. The visual, tactical, and olfactory senses fell short on this recent purchase - quite disappointing. The leather of this folio seems to be well done (although the crooked stitch embraces the hand-made, small-batch nature of this portfolio). Overall, this purchase left me underwhelmed and fell short of my expectations."

Don't Buy This Product

"Levenger advertises this folio as Executive Leather. There is not one inch of leather on this folio. After 2 weeks of trying to call their office and speak to someone all I got was automated emails explaining the process to complain about a product and that just went round and round in circles until I finally had to call them myself. To make a long unpleasant experience short, I finally got hold of a John Rosner, "senior team leader" who was most rude. He couldn't even explain his own product and just kept telling me that his suppliers told him that it was leather, actually that it was "deerfarm" full grain leather. When I asked what deerfarm leather was he couldn't explain it. This was supposed to be a special gift for a special lady on a special day and I was never so embarrassed about anything before. The product is a fake plastic leather look alike product. No where on the folio is it stamped "Genuine Leather" like any other real genuine leather product would be. He was unwilling to accommodate me with some kind of credit. He simply said to send it back from my city where it would cost me more than the folio. I am totally disgusted with Levenger's customer support and the person they put in charge of looking after their customers. He is obviously very short sighted. This review will cost them more than I had requested in compensation in lost business if not just from my own business. "Way to go Rosner"."

Elegant and Functional

"I love Levenger products! I purchased the Executive Portfolio in red leather. I love the quality. I love the functionality. I love how it looks. This Executive Portfolio provides a way to keep me organized on my international flights. As a flight attendant in charge of the cabin on international routes, I have to be very organized with my paperwork as I am working in the small space of an airline cabin. Having this portfolio gives me a place to put important documents, passenger lists, notes, etc. I don't have to hunt for anything and I know I won't misplace anything either. I love it."

Is this a stiff, unbending folio or a soft floppy one? I have ordered soft ones unknowingly and have been disappointed. Prefer the harder ones that maintain shape and structure. What kind is this one?
This is a structured Folio silhouette, much stiffer than our Circa Softolio
