Not Real Engineering Grid

"Like all levenger pads, the paper quality is excellent. However, these are NOT Engineering Grid! They are what are known traditionally as Architectural Grid, because they are 8x8, and architects traditionally used 1/4 inch scaled drawings. However Engineers have always used 10x10 grids. And probably no one in a technical field would use an 8x8 grid to day. These are confusing and difficult to use for Math plots of any kind, or for mapping or engineering drawings, while 10 x 10 REAL Engineering grid paper work for engineering drawings (which have used 10ths of inch, feet, miles etc. for ages) and anything drawn in metric units needs 10x10 too. Maybe interior decorators could use 8x8, but not other technical profession would."

Finally engineering pads on good quality paper.

"I snagged a set to have for better sketching out to scale plans for a home addition. I grew up with these being all around the house, since my dad was an engineer & needed everything drawn to scale for his ideas. Now they are harder to find… let alone nice thick paper. I’m sure these will get used quickly- since it’s more like dream drawing paper rather than just engineering. For the quality & general thickness the price for 2 pads is right in the ball park. Engineering pads were always more expensive than just gridded paper. I gave it 4 stars because it would be nice to have a white paper version with non-reproductive blue grids."

Dawn B. (4/5)

Almost great

"If the grid was five per inch rather than eight the paper would be perfect."

Becca W. (4/5)

Nice layout!

"Excellent for math!"

Great grid paper

"The free leaf engineer grid pad is great for my uses. The paper is high quality and I like the lined paper on the back side of the grid. Great paper at a great price."

A designers must have

"The grid on the paper provides an excellent scaling tool for design and the quality of the paper makes correction a breeze."
