Beautiful, useful box

"I received the red box as a gift and I couldn't love it more! I keep my notecards and pens in it as well as any important papers I may need in the next few weeks. It is beautifully made."

Another quality item from Levenger.

"I purchased two of these; one for a gift. The workmanship is superb, and I am certain they will provide decades of service."

Queen’s Red stationary box

"My girlfriend loves this gift. We watched the Crown and envied the Queen’s red box for official papers and now she has her own. However I was disappointed when I was informed by Levenger that initials could not be put on the lock because their machine for that was not working"

Priceless

"I purchased two of the red boxes for my little granddaughters. The Queen’s boxes will serve as memory boxes to add to over the years. I’m sure they will enjoy the contents in the future when they are older."

Almost Perfect

"Yes, I did say almost perfect. I do love my "King's Stationery Box", however, I withheld a full five star review for only three observations. #1- the key is almost too small for my hand's. One might think you might need a magnifying glass to find it. Which leads to my #2-objection. Aside for asking for a larger key, (which may require a slightly larger brass lock), there should be two keys in case the only key is lost! I will add a ribbon to my key just so I can find it. I hope my granddaughters don't find my lilliputian key and mistake it for a doll house key to be playrd with! My #3- objection is that the lid has no restraints to prevent it from being opened too far, thus breaking the hinges. This would require a very simple correction from the manufacturer to add lid restrining ribbons on both sides of the box, thus preventing the lid from bending back too far when opened, and breaking the fragile brass hinges. An observation, not a complaint, that I might like to add is that it would be very nice to offer personalization, in the form of gold leaf, of one's monogram or full name on the lid of this stationery box. Thus, I withheld a full five star review for this item. Aside from that, I am delighted with my purchase and will use it for all my special correspendence, such as writing to my very special English friend who will celebrate her 100th birthday in two months time. Perhaps I'll even jot a note off to the UK ambassador, to the USA, asking her to commemorate my friend's milestone birthday with a letter or card. And may I say, "God Save the King"."

Quality for the letter writing royalist

"The first two reviewers are correct. It is a lovely stationery box reminiscent of the Queen’s. As a letter writer, I couldn’t ask for a more beautiful piece. If you’re a royalist and a letter writer, you need this quality box. You will be happy with your purchase."

Q&A

The King's Stationary Box: Is there a fixed "wall" dividing it into two separate compartments or is it one large, open compartment with a removable tray that would rest on top of papers? The photo makes it look like it is divided in two sections. Thank you.
The bottom is one compartment to fit papers/files, while the tray can slide across the entire box (and is removable)
What does the monogram on the lock look like? Font? Last name initial in center?
Image can be found on the product page.
