"Attractive and lightweight, this natural cherry wood table provides an extra work surface when needed. Portability is easy -- a convenient handle slides out from beneath the center of the work surface; simply collapse the legs and store it away. It folds flat and upright to stand in the back of a closet or behind a chair/headboard/wherever. Assembly took about 10-minutes. We used the table with guests the day after we received it and were so pleased that we ordered a second Hideaway Desk to optimize eating/project/writing -space in the future. We have used the surface for both seated and standing projects and found it to define the extra work area we needed."

Do not recommend. Shoddy packaging that ruins product and floors

"I was VERY disappointed with the packaging on this. While taking it out of the box (which had no removal instructions), the desk top fell and damaged both the desktop AND MY HARDWOOD FLOOR. I immediately filed a case on the website and did not receive an answer within the stated 3 business days. (It’s been about 5). I’m a 20+ year customer and I was sad about my desk and floor at first. Now I’m just really mad."

"Really nice foldable desk, all hardware included, took less than 10 minutes to be useable. However, the box arrived with a hole in the side and subsequent damage to the edge of the desk. Have repaired with sanding block to prevent splinters and touch up stain. All good !"

Sent without hardware

"I did not receive the hardware to assemble this desk. I messaged the company and was told they would send the hardware if they could locate any. After another two weeks I phoned and was told the supplier had finally sent Levenger the hardware, but it would take another two weeks for it to be sent to me. The company offered to send me a whole new desk with prepaid shipping to return the first item, but this seemed wasteful, so I’m still waiting for the hardware. I would be hesitant to order any more items from this company that require assembly."

"Overall great but whoever spaced the screw holes did a poor job as had a really hard time without a drill to make new drill holes on one side to make them closer, therefore scratched the underside trying to screw in the screws with a screwdriver which is so disappointing re: damage which can be avoided with better engineering"

What is the distance between the interior edges of the outer legs (the legs closest to the user)? I'm looking for a table that will slide over the front of a chair whose legs are 22.5 inches outside edge to outside edge.
The Hideaway desk won’t work as it is to narrow to fit a chair under, space between legs is 30 ¾” with 36” wide top. We would recommend the No-Room tech folding desk FD0695.
Is the height adjustable? The ergonomic height for typing should be less than 26 inches. Lower if you are sitting in a coach.
