Old School Portable Lap Desk

One of my favorite things I own

"I love this (so much that I bought a second one). It's the perfect size. So many similar items are too small and narrow, so they sit oddly on my lap when I'm sitting (Too big for resting on one leg, too small for my lap). It's like the desks we used to sit at in elementary school. The quality and craftsmanship is excellent, and it looks good. I made one modification to mine. I drilled a round 1. 5" hole for a USB outlet and plugged that into a power bank, so I can plug in a light for reading/writing. (I do a lot of reading/writing in low light). I can also use my laptop and other electronic devices while they charge."

"Extremely well made. Beautiful plain cherry wood. Two interior compartments, one larger that holds my paper the other smaller that holds pens, pencils, erasers, etc. It sits perfectly on my lap with a stiifish but comfortable pillows. Hinges appear to be of good quality. I believe this item will last and I’m looking forward to a long partnership with it!"

Old-school portable lap desk

"The desk is well crafted, and useful. However, it is not as convenient as I envisioned. As one gets older, with arthritic hands, the desk would be well served to have some sort of indention on the side, or even a very small handle or ring the grasp. Thanks."

Too bulky

"It's too bulky. I honestly doubt anyone needs to keep their desk tools in a portable solution. The other one they sell is too wide, so I went with this one and wish I hadn't. Even if you store stuff inside, it doesn't lock, so whatever you put in there will fall out."
