"Nice wide desktop area. I love that it rests on the chair arms and not my legs. Lightweight but sturdy. Nice finish. Design is patented. I found similar for much cheaper but they had handle holes cut out each side. I was worried the holes would be where my elbows would rest and that would annoy me. So i went with this even though it’s pricey and do not regret the decision."

We are on our 3rd set. They last a very long time, but eventually the edges wear, and the mouse area gets a bit scratched.

"I used to have this item years ago (a relative appropriated it) and I recently reordered it. Very pleased that the quality is exactly the same as the original I had prior to 2005. The wood is very sturdy with a beautiful finish and I’m so glad I didn’t go with cheaper versions on Amazon - none of which hold up based on reviews. No one is getting this one away from me!!"

I have had my Lap Desk for years - but I need to replace the worn out elastic straps - can I purchase them separately?
Yes. You can purchase the Junior-sized Notebook Belt (ADS8445) as a replacement for the elastic straps.
I need to replace my elastic lap desk suspenders. I cannot find them as a separate item.
Any of our notebook belts will work as the Lap Desk straps.
Do you sell replacement bands for the Levenger Lap Desk? The pair of original bands on mine have lost their elasticity.

Does this lap desk have a lap pad underneath as the classic one did? If not - "Levenger" needs to add it for comfort - if nothing else. Without the soft pad ... it's just a board! I'll buy two if you bring back the original ... Otherwise?!
It does not have a cushion or a pad underneath. Thank you for your feedback we'll be sure to consider this.
